Not for the presbyopic

What a great thread this is!

Here is what has made my business travel so-o-o much easier: (Follow steps in order)

1) I make sure I have emails for my flights, hotels, car rentals, etc, containing not just times but also confirmation numbers and phone numbers. If the reservation was made by phone or by a travel agent, I just call the airline or hotel and ask them to email me the itinerary. In rare cases I type in the details myself. I also put it phone access numbers and any other key items.

2) My assistant or I cut and paste the items to make a trip itinerary summary in Word. I make sure it fits on one page.

3) I paste it into my email program and email it to family, my Yahoo account, and my cell phone.

4) Here's the key: I choose 4 pages/sheet on Page Setup (Mac) or printer Properties (Windows) and print it out as a reduced size sheet. I then trim the resulting quarter page, fold it in half (printing on the outside), and put it in my wallet next to the bills. Folded, it should be less than 4 x 2 1/2 inches.

Now I have access to all my key information on a single piece of paper. No need to carry a PDA, binders, etc. If I'm worried about a connection, need to know the number of the restaurant I am meeting someone at, etc., all I do is look at this single sheet.
