Yeah, the Hertz/United partnership ended Oct 31. New partner is Avis.

Extent of future relationship between United and Hertz changing?

I occasionally use the BA (or other airline) online shopping mall to earn a few miles while buying something I would anyway purchase to proactively extend the expiration.
