There is a play area behind the pool deck that has ping-pong and a giant connect four game. The Hyatt Mission Bay pool is much better for kids because of the slides, but those pools aren't heated. That shouldn't be a problem in August though. One day at the Grand Hyatt pool is probably more than enough.

The pool is such a non-focal point at the Grand Hyatt that the only picture on their website is the cover photo in the Photo section.
