Planning a honeymoon for next June (YAY!) and we are looking for the perfect spot to chill after a rough couple of years. Must have: great view from room or terrace, private and quiet atmosphere. Nice to haves: swimming beach within a short walk, plunge pool or private pool

We're looking at properties in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, but we're willing to go anywhere within reason for a week-long vacation (we're in Portland, Oregon). I have over 700k miles on United, but no hotel points anymore, so hotel brand loyalty isn't a factor and getting away from the chains for a once-in-a-lifetime trip would be a plus.
