Do you happen to remember the name of the stall or the hawker center? Right now I don't think it would hurt to promote some of the better ones. Most of the stalls I've had there weren't great. I'm sure there are good ones, but most use too lean a cut to make a good piece of char siu.

Unfortunately, off the top of my head, I don't. A friend brought me there, but, if I recall, it was about 2 miles from Orchard Rd within a roofed complex with plenty of Hawker stands of many different varieties. I know, those instructions aren't great, but it's the best I can do right now. I think the stand was very famous, and it was incredibly good! It was perfect with the right amount of fat with many there just for the char siu.

Lol, no worries. Unfortunately you just described about every hawker center in Singapore. It's all good. I'd just like to promote some of the lesser known places. If you say "Roast Paradise" or "Fatty Cheong" to the average Singaporean, they know it. But if you find a real gem that isn't one of those, you need to promote it to get people to visit.

Yes , somewhat countless , lots anyway , of “ coffee shops “ & hawker centres with varying superb specialties at each .
For char siu / roast meats , likely found in the Chinatown , Tiong Bahru , Beo Crescent / Havelock Road ones .. pockets all over the city - Coronation Road corner , Hougang , Serangoon Gardens , East Coast Road ..
Spoilt for choice really if one cares to drive / train wherever & Gojek / Grab back
Now what & where shall it be today ..
