Chalk it up to good luck and agents not versed in the rules. You can certainly keep attempting to enter, but you are aware that it's against their policy so there's no recourse. It's definitely not the first time AA employees don't follow their own company's policies.
Unrelated observation - it would seem rather unique if you are a 16 year old PP soon to be EXP who apparently often travels alone. Sounds like you've got an early start towards lifetime Platinum.
Yeah should hit at least 1MM soon enough especially if I keep taking longer flights. I'm at 77 segments and 64000 eqm for the year. 85k MillionMiler. And yeah thats about what I figured.

Yeah definitely is I just found the email from corporate and getting denied by the same agent that let me in pretty funny. Calling attention to it is not going to change much IMO, if that happens and they get stricter, I will just go in with someone else as I do to enter Centurion Lounges.
