Thanks for that. The booking does carry my actual and proper address and residency details meaning that I am not pretending to live somewhere where I do not.
Unless it somewhere in the T&Cs (anyone ever read these in detail?) the website themselves do not prompt you to visit 'your own' country site or suggest to pay in your own currency etc; in other words, Avis makes no (obvious) mention that this could be 'wrong' some how. in fact, their websites in other european countries quite happily take my Avis PP details where as the US sites doenst like my UK credentials at all. meaning I cannot book via Avis US and have it linked to my account.
Anyone else have experience with this?
