AA has a bad weather policy that allows additional scheduling flexibility (and has nothing to do with SDFC or status, as I understand it), with the intent being to avoid the problematic city.
For IROPS, AA will also allow you a departure airport change within 300 miles (I've never used this, only discussed it with the ExP desk).
