Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes as always.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked normal room, received Prestige Harbor Suite. One night paid, one with free night award.

How are the rooms?
This is the suite I always get when with family. It is quite large and well furnished. Awesome views with huge windows you can leave open for the fresh sea air.

For some reason the mini-bar no longer has hard alcohol. But still has the nice Champagne.

How is the exec. lounge?
None

Breakfast is still quite good, served indoors or outside as the weather was still nice.

The gastronomic restaurant is still closed as is the bar. But the main restaurant has really upped its game. And the prices. Really good quality. I was told at check in that I had a $200 F&B credit that I could use at the restaurant. So I did.


What was good and what was bad?
-Good
Almost everything, until check out.
The GM comped us to a round of cocktails before dinner.
Excellent upgrade and reward for my loyalty to this hotel.
The Clarins Spa is still excellent and all spa facilities are still open. Steam, sauna, pool, etc.

-Bad
At check out they insisted that there is no such thing as a $200 F&B credit. I had double checked the credit with the person who checked me in, but she was no longer around. I had to escalate to the GM to get the credit I was promised. It made for a long check out. Next time I will ask for it in writing. There was no welcome letter announcing the benefits that RA's usually get.

Value for $ or IHG Rewards Points? Would you return?
Yes and Yes.
