You are correct. My husband and I both received emails about the extension.

IHG Rewards Club Credit Card Anniversary Night Certificates
Certificates awarded in 2021 can be redeemed through December 31, 2022.

And for those concerned about status,
Elite Status Extended through February 2023
Your current IHG® Rewards Elite status will automatically be extended through February 2023. And as a reminder, points never expire for Elite members!

Keep in mind these exciting changes might not be updated in our system as soon as you receive this email. We’re working to make sure our members’ accounts are updated within the next few weeks.
