BW is one of the few hotel loyalty programs I don't game. I'd like to because, a few times a year, there's a BW property I'd like to stay at if I can make the math work. As we all know, a good point redemption can make the math work.

That said, I don't immediately see how buying BW points in Daily Getaways makes any sense. They're just too expensive. There don't seem to be enough (any?) sweet spots where accumulating these points at this price makes sense. I do recall that BW has had some point redemption promos in the past where, perhaps, that could change this calculation. Does anyone have wisdom on this?

On the other hand, I bought a lot of Choice points from Daily Getaways last week. Choice is a poorly administered program, but that creates opportunities. While most of their hotels aren't attractive, and many aren't priced well on points, there are enough exceptions that make having Choice points valuable to very frequent travellers. I'd love the same thing to be true with BW but, alas, it doesn't seem to be the case.
