Having the phone in airplane mode while having WiFi on (to use Wi-Fi calling) may make the difference. If it doesn’t, it could be time to toggle settings back and forth related to WiFi calling, power off the phone and reboot it.
Did your iOS phone devices recently get a system software update? A lot of people recently updated to iOS 15, so maybe there has been a resurgence of this kind of problem?
I’m still 14.8. I’m not a believer in jumping on new software unless it’s a security fix. I’ll try the suggestion you linked tonight.
