Did you try using the FFC as a payment method of a new booking versus starting with FFC and trying change it to the new flights?
Yes, this was a booking for a new flight - I had previously cancelled a trip I had booked for October, then tried to use the FFC a few weeks later to book a flight over Christmas. When I got to the payment screen, I entered the confirmation number from the previous trip and my last name where it said to in order to use the FFC, and it said that the FFC couldn't be found - even though I copied/pasted it directly from the account information screen.
