The last time DFW-LIH operated, it only operated for one season, back in winter 2017/2018 I think. Not sure why it didn't stick around. Either way, AA might not have the right equipment for the route right now--too long a route for any narrowbody, and not sure if their smallest widebody, the 788, can make it off the short runway at LIH loaded with pax, cargo, and fuel to DFW.
