Years ago, they sold Oscar Mayer Smokie Links all over the ballpark. On weekends, friends would gather at my house on Racine Ave. and we’d walk to the park and sit in the bleachers. Smokies were usually on the menu. I was exited a few years ago when they started selling this new version (Vienna, I think), so good with the grilled onions.
Yep - I've been a partial season ticket holder for a long time. It was only just a few years ago that they "improved" all the concession stands and Smokies became a specialty itm. To be honest, it's probably better overall, but I miss some of the old stuff. And the old limited menu meant you didn't have to walk back and forth between stands trying to decide after you've had a few beers
