As for splitting into more than one payment, I posted up thread on this: on 8/31 the SFO lounge said they cannot do it.

Yikes - Maybe AS Lounge CS was wrong? I'd much rather put it on the Amex cards to get the reimbursement rather than save that $50. Maybe I'll ask again to see if they can split it over 2 cards for me over the phone and forego the discount.
