I did not do a word for word comparison, but the travel related cover is similar to what AMEX-NL offers. As AMEX cancelled
travel only, I am only interested in travel because due to COVID restrictions I can not return home to the Far East, but I do move around in Europe.
As far as car rental VISA is much more liberal than AMEX in that car rental does not need to be part of a trip, as long as it is taken at a certain distance from the residence. The avoided extra car insurances have already balanced my yearly VISA fee.
I agree that we are probably not getting the best T&C from AMEX NL and in my experience from several contact with agents, when I mentioned it, nobody gives a ?!%@ and nobody bothers to mention it to more senior management in AMEX NL.
