that wall has already been breached. You get searched before you can enter the main public library here in Washington. You must go through metal detectors not only at banks and courthouses, but many museums and high schools. Your bags are searched before entering stadiums and amusement parks. Try looking at the websites for metal detector companies; they advertise to everyone from discotheque owners to factory operators. Where were all the avowed privacy advocates in the beginning, when it was "just" inner city schoolkids affected by the walling off of our civilization, and not the tie-wearing, business-travelling classes? Seems to me the Mall of America would make a prime terrorist target, it's only a matter of time before your cars are going to be swabbed before parking like mine is when I visit a friend at NIH.
