Really. CLT is served by B6, DL, F9, NK, UA, and WN. Same for pretty much every other city you mentioned. I never said anything about market share, but the reality is with a single stop you can get pretty much anywhere you want to go domestically on any other airline.
If you're simply looking to avoid having a connection, that's another story, personally I don't really factor that in much given I connect on 90%+ of my itineraries and have no problem doing so if it means avoiding a subpar product. YMMV.
I'll say that for me, a single stop is one stop more than I'd like to have, and that's far more important to me than what I'd consider to be small differences in service between the major legacy US airlines.
I've mostly flown US/AA over the past 10 years here out of CLT, but every so often I catch a DL or UA flight and it's honestly all the same to me as far as the experience you're getting. Especially so if you're using an itinerary that's covered by a regional carrier that brands themselves as any of the Big 3 on any given flight.
