No one suggested otherwise. However, DL doesn't allow pets to Ireland or UK. (UK has an exception for service animals with lengthy requirements that take at least 30 days to complete)

Looking at website, DL currently has embargoed pets due to CV on all international flights. Even AMS won't be an option for OP.
