If you are traveling solo or a duo on a QSuites equipped aircraft, the only way to get middle seats is at the airport. Those seats are reserved for parties over 3 people and they do not open for reservations with 1 or 2 passengers anytime. If you are 3 or more passengers on the reservation, you still need to call in to select middle quad seats on the QSuites. There is no online getaway unless the partner sites work.
Well..just a data point from me
Booked 2 Qsuite tickets using AA miles, single PNR, 2 separate Qsuite segments. I was able to select both segments seats for 9E/9F and 3E/3F on the rj website.
Also booked two separate Qsuites using AA miles, separate PNR, single segment. I was also able to choose seats for this flight on rj website for both PNR's. 3E/3F. Effectively it allowed a single pax to select the middle seat. I'll call in at some point to merge the PNR or at least note we are traveling together.
Now...it is entirely possible as we get closer they may erase those assignments since our travel isn't for just over 6 months. But currently when logged into the PNR there is a green check mark next to the seat assignment as if it was confirmed.
There is also the strong possibility that being this far out the flights might change times, aircraft or get canceled all together. I'm holding out hope that everything stays as is.
