All AS agents are super nice and helpful but it sounded like CX takes a bit more work on their end to book, it’s not as simple as other carriers. Sounds like I may have got the same agent! Getting lucky with a more senior agent seems to be the only way to get these bookings done.
Two previous calls with no space found in J or F. Third call where the agent asked herself out loud if F books into Z, and immediately found the space. She made a similar comment that CX takes a bit more work than other airlines, and it took a little while for her to be able to confirm the space.
