Global Entry "Simplified Arrival"?
I had a new experience at ORD with the new "Simplified Arrival" process, but had a question - I am aware of what I can and cannot bring into the US, in terms of food etc, however; I often bring in alcohol (beer) over the duty limit of 1L, but generally so cheap as to not be worth it to anyone to figure out the duty required (would probably be ~$2, at most - just checked my recent arrival, and by my calculations, it would have been $1.03).
...how am I meant to declare this? Usually I just checked the box that I am bringing in "food", and when asked at the exit, explained that I had candy (for the kids) and beer (for me), and I've always been waved through.
