I think the bigger issue is that the program isn't really delivering on promised benefits. For example, I am regularly denied a 4PM check-out unless I go through the whole "I'm guaranteed this benefit" song and dance. If Marriott thinks its footprint is all people care about, why bother guaranteeing benefits they aren't going to deliver?
Very much agree with this.
Be it vacation or business, I want to waste neither the time nor energy to remedy situations where the published benefits should accrue without question.
But as noted; Capuano views loyalty as an irritation evidently. He'll reap what he sows there I'd posit, and not before long.
