I was trying to book a flight multi-city US-EU but couldn't on both Delta site and app as it errors out after payment submission. While holding for Delta on the phone, I tried booking the exact same flight using KLM site and it went through. Surprisingly, this also showed up on my Delta profile as a trip, with a different BRN. I checked on my CC and all the Delta purchases were refunded (all shown pending anyway) and only the KLM purchase went through (more expensive by a few cents).

Will this credit the same to my Skymiles in terms of miles/MQM/MQD etc? Why does it have a different BRN?
