all i know is that this mysterious rule has been in effect since 7/12 and nobody here (or on any travel forum that i've read, for tha matter) has even mentioned the need for PCR tests while transiting through doha. thousands of travelers transit through doha each day and i feel like we would have heard about it one way or another by now. but that's just my 2c.
it just shocks me that QR customer service has no concrete answer to this when its their government enacting the rules.
Probably since they are loosening restrictions to enter Qatar and going an extra step to protect citizens/residents and ensure planes aren't loaded with COVID positive transit pax.
Agree DOH is a central transit hub thus could have a negative impact to transit pax.
