And I really don't want to run around with my US CDC card in hand, begging to be allowed to enter a museum or have dinner or board a train.
Maybe my trip is too ambitious for the new circumstances. It was one month, Paris, Tours, Bordeaux, Bayonne, Cauterets, Narbonne, Grenoble, St Pierre de Chartreuse, Les Deux Alpes, Arles, Tende, Nice. Entirely by train and bus, and it wouldn't take much to throw it into chaos.
Everybody has their tolerances but how much of a hassle is required to carry a card? No doubt there will be some initial pain but you are there for a month.
