So I think we have two options:
  • Get the test on the 3rd at CVS and assume they come in not too early.
  • Get the test on the 5th at CVS and fingers crossed they come in by the time we get to LAX (although I imagine they'd ask for the result at check-in for the first leg)
Would love to know what you think the best option is. I am thinking it's the former.

Thanks!
The holiday "counts" as a part of the 72 hour window so taking a test on July 3 will not be accepted in Hawaii. You will have to test on the 5th. Do you have a Walgreens in your area? If so, if they do the ID Now test, you will have results within a couple hours. That is by far your best bet to get a test before you start your trip.
