Thanks. Senior management is definitely trying. I can't fault them as they trying to resolve things. Hopefully it'll get better. I'm just exhausted.
Part of the maintenence problem is this hotel is packed year round, especially with covid so Chinese can't travel outside country, so it's hard for them to do any kind of maintenance on rooms without taking rooms out of stock and thus losing fat profits.
They are going to ha lve to do serious maintenance now before they have true disasters in 2 or 3 years.
The 2nd problem is top staff often don't want to work in Sanya for long periods so there is training issues and many local locals who don't care.
Next door we looked at the Andaz being built. The opening date keeps getting delayed. But it looks nice from what I've seen. If the suites are nice, then I'll book Andaz next time as the Bay here really is gorgeous
I think the Andaz would just end up being the same unmaintained hellish experience. Or a starting hellish experience.
