Dambus is giving you good advice -as does Johan and the rest.
Anyway, I fly SFO-AMS MD11, and those are the best seats per Dambus. I take 2J-window.
I liked the 747's before they fazed them out on my run. Lame as it may be, I felt better in one hitting turbulence or a white knuckle landing in bad weather.
