I'll know in a few weeks. I have a trip coming up before the end of the month. I sent a copy of my vaccine card to my German counterpart so he can ask the local authorities for me.
So I may know sooner. If anything like my trip back in late November, it'll be chaos combined with luck as word does not filter down the chain to the workers in the trenches. Last trip it was touch and go at passport control. The only thing that seemed to get us in was the negative test, even though a week earlier the tests were no longer accepted and quarantine was mandatory when Germany went into lockdown.
From what I heard the two passport officers say to each other, the test results were the deciding factor that had us avoid a lengthy issue at immigration or a denied entry, even with documents proving we were on essential travel.
