The Miles River, Wye River and Tred Avon River are some of the most beautiful rivers of the Chesapeake Bay.
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is close and is worth a visit.
You are also close to Oxford Maryland and that is worth a visit. The best way is to drive to the Oxford Bellevue Ferry and cross the river via ferry.
We have stayed in St. Michaels twice and at The Inn At Perry Cabin the most recent time in 2018.
The sail boats are Hinckleys and as I understand it, you need to use the Inn's crew. We did a day sail and it was very nice.
Something that really stood out to me during our stay is the Inn relied heavily on foreign staff and communicating was a challenge in the restaurants. Being the daughter of an immigrant, I am very patient and understanding when someone is learning a new language and it was still hard. I would think their labor issues are even more challenging now.
