My esta was cancelled even if I haven't done any check-in or any booking in pending. Probably, I've only done some search on AirFrance website while logged on my flyngblue account and AF has sent my information directly to US CBP.

Your ESTA has certainly not been cancelled because you have searched for flights on AF site
if anyone is interested by my data point : my ESTA has not been cancelled, despite having several active France-US bookings (all cancelled weeks before the trip) and having looked a lot at flights on AF site.
