Thank you all for the feedback thus far. We are still doing research on our end as well as taking into consideration all of the comments. The example from PHLGOVFLYER was exactly what happened to us. Unfortunatley for us, we connected at DFW and not through MIA . DFW does not handle very many flights to Aruba and does not posess the experiance in Aruba entry requirements as MIA. My wifes results arrived later that morning as well.
As we can not see any mention of employee error in the passage contract, the Montreal agreement or the Warsaw Agreement that would cover this issue we will have to simply treat this as a breech of contract as American failed to perform. We are not in a rush to respond to AA as we want to be sure that all of our bases are correct before we proceed.
We would rather not have to file suit over this as a resolution should be simple to arrive at, but we are willing to go that route should that be the case.
I will keep the board updated as the issue continues.
