There's a reason why people lament the demise of the traditional Starwood guest experience.
Hell, people on here long for the days when Bill had control of the experience.
So respectfully; the past few years have been bad for legacy Marriott and Starwood loyalist alike.
Final point; what value does LT Titanium really have as we see continual gutting of program benefits?
Speaking for myself, the value of LT Titanium even in today's market is immeasurable. It's the numerous small things that make a stay more comfortable. I continue to stay with Marriott for the same reason I achieved LTT. I like what the brand stands for and it's consistency. Hell, I am one of those people who truly miss Bill and his style of management.
A lot of my travel is on OPM so I don't need to stay (or fly) with any particular group I do so because I receive better or more consistent service. When I think of a particular country, city, or project usually my experience at Marriott is most memorable.
