I think your Polaris lounge prediction is severely pessimistic. I give 100% likelihood of reopening given how critical those are to the Polaris experience. They actually made the product competitive and allowed them to get by with sub-par onboard food offerings and experience. And we can all joke that the United execs don’t actually get what matters to customers but in this case I think they’re quite aware as they received a ton of feedback on those lounges. WHEN they will open is a better question but not doubt they will reopen.
Well, I said 80% chance *all* (including IAD) would re-open. I would give close to 100% on SFO/ORD/EWR and probably IAH/IAD. People may disagree but I think LAX is most vulnerable and would probably be last to re-open given the few Polaris routes and heavy TPAC-dependency, which remains virtually non-existent. If they extend Polaris access to JFK, that would probably clinch its re-opening.
