A hotel chain that needs to offer double this and triple that to attract business while it takes away a fixed price award chart... That is not the highest maximum return. It can still work for people, as long as you are super conscious of burning the points ASAP and at high value redemption hotels...
I calculate that Hilton offers the highest redemption value (not just points) without factoring any 2x/3x promos or travel agent perks.
