There is a dedicated pool area for kids/families including a kid-friendly jacuzzi and a water slide. There is also a nice private beach for the kids to play (and they also have boogie board rentals though they are a bit on the expensive side). You can check the food cost here -

I don't specifically know the turnaround time for the COVID test at the airport, we got ours done at the resort (its certainly more expensive - $65/pp instead of $30/pp at the airport). You may have to leave fairly early on the day of your flight to keep enough time for the COVID results. However the testing at the resort IS super convenient.
