Occasionally I'm tempted, and it's always a disappointment. Using your scale, I'm reminded every time I have bbq pizza, it's always a 5 and I could have had at least a 7 or 8 if I would have stuck to a more traditional pizza. It can never be a 10.
Where I find the most variability in the 5-10 scale is with taco pizza. They can literally be any of the 5 points. I don't know if it still exists, or if it's the same recipe, but the 10 will always be reserved for Happy Joe's Taco Supreme pizza in Green Bay, WI. Kind of a pan-style pizza, with warm taco fillings in the crust, then on top a layer of the cold toppings - sour cream, lettuce, sliced black olives, and crumbled tortilla chips. Packets of taco sauce on the side. I'm fairly certain every slice was about 5000 calories, and I could eat 3 when I was 18 years old.
