Are you sure you didn't book a BE ticket?

Occasionally DL will release inventory and it will take some time (minutes or hours) to propagate out to OTAs like Amex/Expedia. But generally the DL fares I see on Amex are the same as direct to DL....and every so often one of the "insider" fares that is a little lower.
