That explains why United is so slow to get on this. I wrote a long e-mail, too, detailing my long hold times (multiple calls over 2 hours on hold) and their agents being unable to find my reservation despite me forwarding the original confirmation e-mail with United Packages/Vacations/ALG/Priceline confirmation number, flight number, and hotel confirmation number.
Their canned response is below which I have received two times now.
"Good Morning, Dear,
Hope you are doing well, safe and healthy.
Thank you for contacting United Vacations.
We really apologize for the delay in response. We have tried to locate your reservation by using your email address. We are unable to retrieve the information. Can you please provide the 8 digits alpha-numeric reservation number so that we can assist?
If you unable to locate the 8 digit aplha-numeric booking confimation number. We would suggest you to call us.
Please call into customer care and our team will be glad to help. We can be reached at 888-854-3899. Call Center hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, Central Standard Time.
Do you guys know if I can get United to give me a quote for the airfare I have already purchased through ALG? It's business class and four seats and the cabins are full save for one or two seats. I want to cancel the whole ALG trip and just book the airfare through United and the hotel directly. What's terrible is that I purchased a two bedroom suite that there is only one of on the property and now it's unavailable for two nights of our seven night trip. What a hassle.
