Baguettes are great for curries and some stews. They work great for mopping up liquids, especially if fresh out of the oven or toasted. Roti/naan works as well. I love using challah to clean up curries. Some asian dishes (with bread) you'd likely find interesting... , , ( and as well). , , Then some more traditional stuff like peking duck (the wraps). If I can order the braised meat from "lu rou fan" (Taiwanese braised meat on rice dish), it makes a great dip for bread. Banh mi is just the tip of the iceberg...
