I've been in multiple Polaris lounges in the hour or two before a large overseas departure bank. They are crowded. How would you suggest these GS and 1K admittees (and their guests) be accommodated? Deny entrance to non-Premier Polaris customers? I'm pretty sure you are underestimating the number (especially 1Ks) of these in the hubs where Polaris lounges are located.
