I always looked at my lounge memberships as work-related. Pre-COVID, most off my domestic and international travel was work-related. The UA lounge was a place to plug in and work a while. In most airports finding a place to charge phone and laptop outside a lounge was a challenge. A newspaper and a snack was just on top of that. And when an IRROPS happened was when the lounge membership really paid off, whether it was a 6 hour delay or the dedicated agents.
