Well. not to put a damper on those plans, I understand the intention in England between 12 April and 17 May is a requirement not to stay away from home overnight (we had this same restriction last year during June), it sounds like there will an exception for staying in self contained accommodation with members of your own household.
Whether that is the case and whether that would mean for those in England that an overnight trip in the UK was allowable during that period is still a question I don't think anyone can clearly answer at the moment.
