I see the examples given of "Luxury" Mercedes A Class for $310, "Luxury" Mercedes C Class for $350, "Luxury Elite" Cadillac CT6 for $369.
Should I hope for those kinds of cars? Can anyone give some examples of Sixt's fleet in the USA/Minneapolis in terms of Luxury vs. Luxury vs. Luxury Elite?
Thanks so much!
You're likely to get a CLA or an MKZ for PCAR (A-class equivalent) You MIGHT be able to get upgraded to an LCAR (S60 probably), because they have so many LCARs, but don't count on it. In terms of LCAR (C-class), the lot was full of Volvos when I rented. You're most likely to get a V60 or S60. For XCAR (CT6), you are almost certainly getting an S90/V90, unless you booked AWD, and then you are probably getting a V60CC. I have a V60CC right now, and it is a great car! (
see my ride report here) See the
US Fleet List thread for more. By the way, if you want a Mercedes, your best bet is to get a PFAR or LFAR, because the PCAR/LCAR/XCAR categories have almost no Mercs in them (unless you happen to be ultra-lucky or rent from a location that has more Mercs.)

In ATL last week, I'd booked a GLC/XC60 equivalent. I was offered a GLB which was a step down IMO. In the end I got a pretty nice S90, which I think is a CT6 equivalent. Not a huge fan of Volvos because they are kinda thirsty, but still a nice car, very good for highway driving, though a bit noisy.
They do have Mercs, but this year it seems like they had many more Volvos.
In DEN in September, I booked a GLA and got a GLB. Many more Mercs in DEN, it seemed.
GLB is in the PFAR class, a downgrade. LFAR to XCAR is technically a downgrade as well. Also V60CC is in the XCAR class so that was an upgrade.
