While I think UA tried out some different for the few people flying in 2020 and I agree with that - the UA site is very clear on what you get. Bolding mine below. I like that it is not a restaurant - if UA clubs becomes restaurants, the price of membership will certainly go up a lot - mine is free, but I'd prefer to relax in the club without people eating full blown meals in the club.

I agree, but it seemed odd that more substantial offerings were added for short bits of time. Test runs perhaps?
Like I said, I don’t expect a meal there. It was nice to have something a little more filling than snacks, and seemingly healthier options were being offered too. I tried it out (for free), and I’ll be switching to Amex for their CL.
