I think Covid has vastly improved the offerings at the UCs I've been in. Pre-covid, I had only my 2 yearly passes from my credit card and had used them in Denver and Chicago multiple times. Denver had beverages and sometimes soup/salad/cookies, sometimes. The last two times I was in Chicago, they had beverages and not a morsel of food to be found anywhere.

Now, with Covid, I have a membership and have visited much more often, in LAX, ORD, DEN, IAH, EWR and IAD. There are chips, guacamole, noodles, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cheese, rice krispie squares (these make me very happy), etc. There is a lot more food. Sure, it's junk food, but tasty junk food. My only complaints were early in the morning at LAX when the coffee hadn't finished brewing before my flight departed and I thought the 1/2 hard boiled egg was really amusingly stingy (made me laugh more than complain), and IAD where the only food on offer was water crackers, but the bartender was very pleasant when pouring me a glass of wine.

I do miss Polaris Lounges, but I only got to use those a few times anyway.

I'll check out the LAX club tomorrow to see if this week's red level with new government opening permissions has changed anything, and I'll sample DEN in a few days. I expect with Spring Break in full swing, the clubs will be crowded.
