I am booked on the return part of a star alliance award, and routing has to be BKK-TPE. There is one flight a day that stops in HKG, which is my ultimate destination. Is there any way I can get off the plane and stay in HKG, or will I need to go to TPE, and fly back to HKG? Will checked bags make the difference?
