I'm having an issue.

I was booked MUC-HAM-ZRH-SFO in LH/LX I class on two single-pax PNRs.

Something happened to HAM-ZRH, and we were rebooked MUC-ZRH in X class (one of us on LH, one on LX). I can book I2 on either flight, but they can't put is in I-class because of married segment availability. The only thing they could do was get us on the same fight in X class.

Is there really no better option? It's a schedule change from LH group to LH group, and we just want to keep our originally booked cabin.

I didn't want to spend too much time on the issue because this is SFO-BKK-MUC-SFO in July, so I don't know if we'll even fly, I'm sure other changes will come up, but I honestly though this was going to be a 5 minute call, rather than 30 minutes.
